Where 60x60 cm polished gray marble is used
The square with 60 cm sides reduces the number of grout joints on the floor. Bathroom floors and walls, kitchen countertops and backsplashes, and home and workplace floors are the main places of use for this slab. The polished surface can become slippery when wet; it is used on the shower wall instead of the shower floor.
Laying the 19.8 kg square slab
For each 19.8 kg slab to be placed on a bathroom wall, the load-bearing capacity of the wall is checked in advance. 2.8 pieces are calculated per 1 m². With a large format, the substrate must be level and the adhesive must completely fill the back of the slab. A dry layout ensures the veins are evenly distributed across the surface. Extra pieces must be set aside for slabs to be cut at the edge of the room. Since marble is a porous stone, sealer is applied and renewed; marks from acidic cleaners are easily visible on the glossy slab.
