Backsplashes and shower walls with Antigua tile
This tile belongs on kitchen backsplashes, shower walls and the indoor walls of homes and workplaces. It is laid on walls only and is not used on floors. It is not recommended outdoors. In businesses, too, it serves as a wall covering. In wet areas it is applied only to the shower wall and is not laid on the shower floor. For wet-area walls, take a look at the shower coverings page.
Quantity and protection for Antigua terracotta
Calculate around 43 tiles for one square meter of wall, and add a waste allowance for edges to be cut. The load on the wall is 18 kg per square meter. Care for fired clay tiles varies with the type of surface: terracotta with a matte or unglazed surface is porous and is protected with sealer, while the glossy-surfaced type is easily wiped clean. All fired clay tiles are on the terracotta page.
