Product Description
Avalon Polished Marble Tile 7.6x30.5 cm, with its long, thin form and glossy surface, is one of the polished tiles of the Avalon series. Gray veins run in fragments across the white ground. Because the polished surface reflects light, these veins stand out more clearly than on a matte surface. The tile is 1 cm thick with beveled edges; a single piece weighs 0.69 kg.

Laying patterns and placement for long, thin polished marble
On walls, this tile can be used in bathrooms, showers and on backsplashes, and on floors in the interiors of homes and workplaces; it is also used on the base of the shower tray. Glossy stone can become slippery when wet, so keep this in mind when installing it in the shower tray. Thanks to the long, thin proportion, the tiles are laid side by side in straight rows, offset by half their length or in a herringbone pattern; the beveled edges accentuate the grout line. A glossy-surfaced option among bathroom and kitchen wall coverings.
Protecting the glossy marble surface
About 43.1 pieces go into a square meter; keep your order slightly higher for cutting and waste. Acid marks show more on a glossy surface than on a matte one; do not wipe it with products containing vinegar or limescale remover, and use a pH-neutral cleaner. Sealer protects the pores and is renewed over time. For other polished tiles, see the polished marbles page, and for the whole range, the marble page.
