Product Description
Avenza Honed Marble Tile is a large-format marble tile with a size of 30.5 x 61 cm and a thickness of 1.2 cm. The tiles have wide bands of gray veining flowing in the same direction across a white ground; on some pieces the bands darken, on others they fade. The honed surface shows the veins without polishing them.

Large-format Avenza in the bathroom and on countertops
This size is used for countertop surfaces and backsplashes in homes; in the bathroom it is laid on floors and walls, while inside the shower it is used only as wall covering and is not recommended for the shower floor. The 61 cm long side reduces the number of grout joints; a tile of this length requires a screed without undulations beneath it and adhesive applied without leaving voids. Other matte-surfaced options are on the honed-finish marble tiles page.
Aligning and protecting the vein bands
Around 5.4 tiles cover one square meter; consider the cutting allowance separately. Since the vein bands flow in a particular direction, laying the tiles out on the floor first and determining the order balances the flow. If white adhesive is chosen for white stone, there is no color bleeding through from behind. The porous Avenza surface is protected with sealer after laying, and acidic cleaners are not used. Other natural stones are in the natural stone collection.
