Polished marble in the bathroom and kitchen
Its uses range from bathroom floors to shower floors, and from backsplashes to commercial indoor walls. A wet glossy surface can become slippery; take this into account on shower floors and bathroom floors. The rectangular size can be laid straight or offset. Other products with a glossy finish are on the polished marble tiles page, and size options in the marble collection.
Quantities and cleaning for the 15.2x30.5 cm polished tile
1 m² equals about 21.6 pieces; order with cutting waste taken into account. The weight per piece is 1.21 kg, and the weight per square meter is 26.37 kg. Tone variation between pieces is natural; laying the tiles out in mixed order before installation spreads this variation across the area. Marks left by lemon, vinegar or limescale remover are more noticeable on a polished surface, so wipe it with a pH-neutral cleaner. Sealer protects the pores and is renewed at regular intervals.
