Scattered white veins on a black base: Black Honed Marble Tile 30.5x30.5 cm is a square marble tile. On some tiles the veins are thick and pronounced, on others they appear as fine lines. A honed tile with beveled edges and a thickness of 1.2 cm.

Using black marble on bathroom and shower floors
The floor and walls in the bathroom, the floor and walls in the shower, and the backsplash in the kitchen are the places for this tile; it also covers indoor floors and walls at home and in the workplace. When wet, the honed surface is less slippery than polished stone, a difference that is useful on a shower floor. The beveled edge accentuates the grout lines. Vein distribution and care in Black marble
A coverage of 0.09 m² per tile makes about 11 tiles per square meter; add a cutting allowance. The density of the white veins varies from tile to tile, so doing a dry layout before installation and distributing the thick-veined pieces across the area gives a balanced result. Black marble is also a porous stone; the sealer applied after installation is refreshed at certain intervals. A drop of lemon or vinegar can leave a mark on the matte black surface; wipe it off immediately and clean with an acid-free product. The honed surface shows wear marks less than a polished surface.
