Wall cladding with large-format fluted Calacatta Green
The Calacatta Green fluted tile is a wall product, not for floors. Indoors it is used on residential and commercial walls and shower walls, and outdoors on walls as well. The 91.44 cm length reduces the number of grout joints. For indoor and shower walls see wall tiles, for outdoor options outdoor products, and for other stones the natural stone page.
Substrate and quantities for the 45.7x91.44 cm tile
2.4 pieces fill one square meter; add a cutting allowance. A tile of this size requires a flat substrate and a full adhesive bed. In Calacatta Green the vein distribution differs on every tile; laying the pieces out on the floor beforehand and mixing them balances the distribution. The pores of the marble are protected with sealer, and the protection is renewed over time. In outdoor wall applications, good drainage extends the life of the stone.
