45.7 cm honed tile in the bathroom and shower
This size can be used on bathroom floors and walls, on both the floor and the wall in the shower, and as a kitchen backsplash; indoor floors and walls are also covered in residential and commercial spaces. On the shower floor the advantage of the honed surface is clear: when wet it is not as slippery as polished marble. For other stones with the same finish, see the honed natural stone models page.
Quantities and sealer for the 45.7x45.7 tile
4.8 tiles cover a square meter; add an allowance for cutting and waste to your order. A sealer is applied to the porous stone and renewed over time; since it will also be used on shower floors, do not skip this step. Dry-laying with mixed boxes ensures that the slightly cloudy tones are spread evenly across the area. Acidic cleaners damage this stone. On light-colored stone, white adhesive prevents discoloration.
