30.5 cm square polished marble in the bathroom
This square tile is used on both floors and walls. Bathroom floors and walls, shower floors and shower walls, backsplashes, and the indoor floors and walls of residential and commercial buildings are among the places this tile is used; since the polished surface can become slippery when wet, this should be taken into account on shower floors. In a straight lay the joints stay aligned, and the beveled edges make these grout lines more distinct.
Care of beveled-edge polished marble
One square meter is covered with 10.7 tiles; set aside a few extra tiles for edge cuts. Variations in tone and veining are normal in natural stone; the tiles are first laid out on the floor and their order is chosen. Marble is porous; a sealer is applied and renewed as the layer wears. Limescale removers and vinegar leave marks on the polished surface, and on a glossy tile these marks are easily noticed.
