Areas of use for 3.2 cm thick brushed marble
Residential countertops, backsplashes, bathroom and indoor floors are the areas where the tile can be used; in the shower it is laid only on the wall; it is not recommended for shower floors and not recommended for outdoor use. The 61 cm length falls into the large-format class: the number of grout lines decreases, but a flat substrate and a void-free adhesive bed are required. The tiles are suitable for straight or offset laying. Other stones for the bathroom are on the bathroom page.
Installation at 86 kg per square meter
Calculate around 5.4 tiles per square meter, and set aside additional tiles for waste and cuts. If this thick tile, weighing 86.4 kg per square meter, is to be installed on a wall, the supporting surface must be prepared for that weight. Natural stone is porous: sealer is applied and it is protected from acids such as lemon and vinegar. Since the tone and spot distribution changes from tile to tile, do a mixed dry lay first. The series is on the marble and floor tiles pages.
