Countertops and floors with 2 cm thick brushed marble
Residential countertops and backsplashes in the kitchen, floors and walls in the bathroom, as well as floors in homes and commercial spaces, are among its areas of use; in the shower it is used only on the wall and is not recommended for shower floors. The tiles can be laid in straight or staggered rows. Other marbles are in the marble collection, and options for floors on the floor tiles page.
54 kg per square meter: installation and care
A 2 cm thickness means 54 kg per square meter; for wall cladding, a substrate that can carry this load is essential. About 5.6 pieces are calculated per 1 m², and a cutting allowance is added separately. Since the density and tone of the bands change from piece to piece, dry lay the tiles first to determine the order. Sealer is applied to the porous surface and renewed at intervals; since marble is sensitive to acids, cleaning is done with a pH-neutral product.
