Shower wall and backsplash for Ikat terracotta
This tile is for walls, not floors: it is laid on shower walls, on the kitchen backsplash and on other indoor walls of the home or workplace; it is not recommended for outdoor use. It is not used on the shower floor either; in the shower it is laid only on the wall. The edges are straight cut, with no bevel. On the backsplash and shower wall, the glossy surface's easy wipe-clean quality comes in handy. Other fired clay tiles are on the terracotta collection page, and for kitchen walls on the backsplash tiles page.
Quantity and care for glossy terracotta
About 43.3 pieces go into a square meter; ask for a few extra pieces for tiles to be cut at corners and edges. Terracotta is made from fired clay; the surface of the glossy one is easy to clean. Matte or unglazed terracotta is porous and requires sealing, whereas this tile's surface is glossy.
