Floors and backsplashes with patterned terracotta
This terracotta is laid on floors and walls indoors; it is also used on shower walls and backsplashes, but is not recommended for shower floors. Lightly used floors in residences are also among its places of use; the edges are straight cut, with no bevel. Other fired clay tiles are on the terracotta tiles page, and for kitchen walls on the backsplash options page.
Piece calculation and cleaning for glossy terracotta
Since each tile is 15.2 cm, 43.3 pieces go into a square meter; add a few tiles on top for cutting and waste. Matte and unglazed terracotta is porous and therefore requires sealing; this tile's surface, however, is glossy and wipes clean easily. A single tile weighs 0.41 kg, and a square meter weighs 18 kg.
