Using polished basketweave on walls and floors
The backsplash, shower walls and floor, and indoor floors and walls in homes and commercial buildings are where this mosaic is used. Polished stone can become slippery when wet; on the shower floor, what balances this is the mosaic's dense grout joints. It is not recommended for balconies and gardens. Glossy stone options are on the polished marbles page.
Acid and grout in basketweave mosaic
Since a sheet covers 0.09 m², approximately 11 sheets are needed per square meter; the cutting allowance is calculated separately. The glossy polish brings out the stone's color and veining; however, marks from acids such as lemon or vinegar are more noticeable on a glossy surface; wipe up spills without waiting and use a pH-neutral product. Since marble is porous, sealer is applied and the protection is renewed over time. There are many grout joints, so the grout color noticeably affects the pattern. Since it is natural stone, each sheet's tone is slightly different; determine their positions by dry-laying the sheets before installation. Similar models are in the marble mosaic collection.
