Herringbone and offset layouts with narrow Snow White tiles
Its long, thin proportion also allows a herringbone installation; straight or offset layouts are possible too. The floor and walls in the bathroom, the floor and walls in the shower, and the backsplash in the kitchen are where this tile is used. In homes and commercial buildings, it is laid on indoor floors and walls. On a wet floor, the honed surface is less slippery than a polished stone. It is not recommended for outdoor applications. Other stones with the same surface are on the honed marble and natural stone page.
Piece count and care for 7.5x30.5 cm marble
Each piece covers 0.02 m²; at the 7.5x30.5 cm size, about 43.7 pieces are needed for 1 m², so add a cutting allowance to your order. One installed square meter weighs 27 kg. Since tone and veining vary from tile to tile in natural stone, it is necessary to open several boxes and mix the pieces. Sealer protects the pores of the marble and should be renewed over time. Limescale removers, lemon and vinegar damage the stone; wipe with a neutral cleaner. For other sizes, see the marble tiles page.
