Herringbone Vanilla mosaic on shower floors
Two features help on shower floors: the frequent grout joints contribute to foot grip, and honed stone is less slippery than polished stone when wet. It is also laid on shower walls and kitchen backsplashes; in homes and commercial interiors it serves as floor and wall covering. It is not recommended for exterior facades, terraces and gardens. Other options for wet areas are on the shower floor and wall products page.
Choosing grout color for herringbone sheets
Each sheet covers 0.09 m²; about 10.7 sheets are calculated per square meter, and an allowance for cuts and waste is added to this. Since there are many grout joints, the color of the grout noticeably changes the overall look. Using white adhesive instead of gray under a beige-toned marble prevents color change. In natural material, the tone varies from piece to piece; lay the sheets out on the floor in a mixed order before installation. Marble is porous: sealer is applied and renewed at intervals. Do not use acidic products for cleaning; a pH-neutral detergent is enough. Other patterns are in the marble mosaic collection.
